Daddy’s Groove hosted a remix competition for their single ‘Pulse’ and the results are in! With hundreds of producers vying for the prize the competition was tight, however one remixer stood out among the rest and Daddy’s Groove are happy to announce Ken Holland as the winner, whose official reworking is out on the 17th March.
‘Pulse’ pulls no punches – from the soaring strings to the trademark drop combined with TeamMate’s swooning vocals, Daddy’s Groove have proved they are unstoppable. Competition winner Ken Holland has looped the vocal for his intro and layered the original over a pumping beat, sporadic echoes of piano chords and bouncing percussion. With a deep house undertone and undeniable momentum the remix is a fresh take on the trio’s sing-along anthem and a deserving winner.
Hailing from Italy, 28 year old Holland’s working name is Kenzo. With influences in house, nu-disco and electronic dance, the young producer is proud to be showcasing his potential as the winner of Daddy’s Groove competition.
Daddy’s Groove are no strangers to worldwide success. Their CV is an impressive read, with production for artists such as will.i.am, remixes for Axwell, Kylie Minogue and Louie Vega, as well as global tours and a residency for none other than David Guetta already under their belt.
