“Dancing Underground” – taken off the new Ursula 1000 album Voyeur – features electro swing master Mocean Worker and Fort Knox Recordings funkster QDUP on live bass and vocoder. It channels that classic era of ‘French Touch’ filtered disco house madness but with a updated feel and a hint of Chic and Zapp for good measure. Here are two rocking remixes courtesy of Montreal’s Fonkynson (Lisbon Lux Records), adding his future disco house flavor, and Ursula 1000’s cosmic alter ego Quentin Quatro giving it that Kerri Chandler jack with added deep summer vibes.
Also from the Voyeur album, “Tropical Intention” keeps the poolside groove alive in this Latin house floor-filler. Pontchartrain (Whiskey Disco, Lovedancing) kicks up the tribal ballistics with his deep tech house rework while Barcelona’s P.A. Sound pitch it down ever-so-slightly in a dark and dubby disco flip.
