Once again, Adjunct prove their penchant for diversity with this interesting collection of dub-influenced tracks from none other than dubLoner. With his camp of Rasta-themed remixers, dubLoner makes a huge impression.

This is the label’s sixth offering, and is dubLoner and Isaac Haile Selassie’s third collaborative release. The pair’s chemistry in the studio is noticeable here, remaining entirely in tune with each other on both singular efforts and throughout the EP.

Proceedings open with ‘Chairr Nawena’, an homage to reggae which, at points, fizzles to a chaotic echo. ‘Chant Nyahbinghi’ is also a down-beat affair, although its steady kick drum offers a slow introduction to the heavier, club-oriented stuff which follows. It is exactly this ‘Club Version’ which begins to help the EP gather pace, queuing GYS and Kush Arora up for the introduction of their heavy hitters.

Both remixes are slightly pacier and more electronically charged, yet still remain loyal to the roots culture from which they were originally formed.
