JATA is pleased to announce the release of the new video for the track 'Ebony'. Spending some of his early years in Washington D.C, Jacob grew up on a diet of 90’s Hip Hop and R’N’B – a love he carried back to Germany, where electronic music was booming. This exposure to the two cultures made him soak influences ranging from Stevie Wonder's lush harmonies to the retro-futuristic sound of Kraftwerk.
Directed by Ramon Haindl, the video reflects perfectly the mood and aesthetic of and what is to come from JATA’s debut album due early 2017. After a series of European shows and a key support tour in his home country, JATA released his first single ‘Don’t Feel Like’ early 2016 which is now being followed by the second one – ‘Ebony’ – and a first headline tour including a prime performance at Reeperbahn Festival.
JATA is the solo project of Berlin artist and producer Jacob Vetter. His debut EP series ‘The Bells’ in 2015 clocked over a million plays across all streaming platforms and resulted in a co-sign from French label Kitsuné for their Maison 17 compilation.
