Expmental Records Presents Blu.a’s ‘Akoustik EP’

Expmental Records is proud to present ‘Akoustik EP,’ the label’s 129th release that promises to infuse the blooming summer season with its infectious microhouse rhythms. This series marks the exclusive full-release debut of Peru’s Blu.a, an artist whose sonic narratives have already sculpted compelling stories on the esteemed Mental Picks compilations.

‘Akoustik EP’ showcases Blu.a‘s impeccable microhouse craftsmanship through two tracks that reverberate with skilled production techniques and echo their formidable presence on labels such as Bar25. The EP embodies Blu.a’s dedication to the genre, taking listeners on a meticulously curated musical journey.

Adding a multidimensional twist to the EP, accomplished Canadian producer Jay Tripwire delivers a captivating remix of the titular track ‘Akoustik’. His offerings include a stripped-back minimal rendition and a beatless voyage—each designed to explore the intricate corners of auditory sensation. Tripwire‘s unparalleled knack for layered soundscapes endorses his stature with footprints on renowned labels such as Poker Flat and Nervous Records.

Continuing the narrative, the EP features Macassi, who injects a vibrant, groovy deep house remix into the mix. His interpretation of ‘Akoustik’ is set to enliven the dance floors with its groove-centric beats, animating the release into an indispensable treasure trove for underground club enthusiasts.

With ‘Akoustik EP,’ Expmental Records aims to encapsulate the rich textures of microhouse beats, interlaced with inspiring remixes by Jay Tripwire and Macassi. This release stands as a testament to the label’s commitment to delivering nuanced electronic music that resonates deeply with the pulse of the season—and with the hearts of those who press play.
