Feelings – All-day alfresco disco BBQ

Feelings return on Saturday 16th August for an all day alfresco disco that will channel classic Balearic sound across day, into night with a rare appearance from the godfather of Balearic beat, DJ Alfredo plus Dan Shake, The Menendez Brothers and Kasra V.

Recreating that special Balearic vibe, Feelings will be taking over much loved Hackney Wick creative space Shapes. Bringing a small piece of Ibiza to East London, they will be decking the place out with palm trees and summer vibes with BBQ, cocktails and fully stocked to keep the party pumping and the dancefloor bumping throughout the day.

Celebrating the heart of Balearic club culture, one of the Island’s most renowned figures returns to London after a two-hear hiatus. During his residency at legendary Amnesia club throughout the 80s, Alfredo soundtracked the White Isle’s most decedent period, inspiring the likes of Danny Rampling, Andrew Weatherall, Paul Oakenfold and New Order to recreate the vibe he created and go on to kick-start one of the most important music movements of the last 30 years, Acid House. He crossed genres from house to hip hop, rock to reggae and soul to samba, creatively mixing records with one thought in mind: can you dance to it? Alfredo’s set at Feelings offers a rare chance to catch the club culture luminary in London.

With a hefty musical offering, support comes from the rising talents of Dan Shake who’s recent debut EP ‘Jazz Club’ was signed to Moodymann’s prestigious label Mahogani Music, making him the first producer without a Detroit heritage or residency to land a release on this integral output. With unmatched good-time vibes, London’s favourite party starters The Menendez Brothers will be bringing their usual dose of dancefloor frenzy with a selection of classic Balearic cuts and fresh talent Kasra V, from respected label Love Fever getting things warmed up.
