Billy Johnston - Flat Wheel EP

Founded in 2007, Retune Music is responsible for holding events that were key in developing the electronic music culture in Honduras and Central America. Now an international label, Retune Music is releasing their first piece of wax from American producer Billy Johnston, who is also often producing and releasing music with Gennaro Mastrantonio.

Billy Johnston’s tracks Filter Noise and Flat Wheel are raw techno jams, flowing with precise drum programming and effectively showing glimpses of distorted atmospheres, while the digital bonus Peak Wheel is a peak-time, intense synth bursting track. Alexi Delano, who has a large discography with previous releases on Spectral Sound and H. Productions, delivers his sweet minimal atmosphere’s to turn Flat Wheel into a dubby groover. The other remix by Xpansul brings a gritty baseline and modulated, detuned synth percs to Filter Noise.

Continuing Retune Music’s impression on the international music community, Flat Wheel EP is surfacing digitally April 16th and on wax on May the 16th.
