Having previously delivered remixes for Green Velvet’s Cajmere moniker – most notably via their rework of his collaboration with Sonny Fedora on ‘You’re The One’ and more recently ‘Satisfy’ – Pleasurekraft return to the deep and darker sounds of Green Velvet to revive his 2001 classic ‘Genedefekt’. Scheduled for release on March 2nd via Relief Records, the remix serves as Pleasurekraft’s first output of 2015 and continues the trio’s longstanding working relationship.
With Pleasurekraft’s classy, seductive brand of techno joining forces with Carlo Lio’s hypnotic, engaging style, the joint remix maintains the original’s angular beat and sinister vocal mantra – before it’s injected with a thumping bassline that transforms ‘Genedefekt’ into a suave, club-ready slice of contemporary tech-house.
Firmly set on exploring new terrain within their music – perhaps best demonstrated by their recent remix of Corrie’s ‘Chameleons’ – Pleasurekraft look ready to enjoy another hugely successful year in 2015.
