His sets & productions blur the lines between soulful depth & rhythmic intensity, blending cinematic tension & emotion – with a subtle nod to Eastern motifs & atmospheric storytelling. We caught up with Ihsa to discuss his latest release & future plans…

It’s great to have you at I House U, Ihsa! Has it been a good winter so far?
Thank you very much for having me, I really appreciate it. I think you’re doing a fantastic job for the community. Winters in Austria are long and dark, but that actually makes them perfect for creative work. It’s the ideal time to focus, spend long hours at home or in the studio, and fully dive into music.
‘Slow Down’ is out now & you’ve been busy releasing a number of other tracks — what’s next?
The next release will be “MURMUROUS.”
It’s a very special track and one I’m extremely proud of. I’d say: let yourselves be surprised, it definitely has its own atmosphere and depth.
As your album is nearing its official release, how many tracks will be featured on Obscura?
We made a few important last-minute adjustments, which led to some crucial decisions. In the end, Obscura will feature five tracks in total, including MURMUROUS and the final track “VELO DE ECOS.”
Each track stands on its own and represents a distinct chapter, I truly believe every single one is a strong statement.
Is the defining sound of the album varied, or similar throughout?
Our foundation is clearly Melodic House & Techno, and that sound runs consistently through all the tracks. From time to time, you’ll also hear influences of Progressive House, but overall we stay true to our favorite genre. The cohesion is intentional, while still allowing each track to have its own character.
If you could collaborate with another leading artist, who would that be & why?
I would absolutely love to collaborate with Adriatique, Argy, or Rüfüs Du Sol.
They are all unique artists with a very strong identity, and I’m convinced that we would connect extremely well on a creative and artistic level.
Do you have any plans for live shows, to further promote Obscura?
I still have a few important goals I want to achieve as a producer first, but live performances are definitely planned. Starting in autumn, I’ll be bringing the project to the stage and translating the album’s atmosphere into a live experience.
