Kansah hits hard with new single ‘Sexy’
UK-based recording artist Kansah returns with “Sexy”, a smooth, high-energy release made for festivals, clubs and late-night summer playlists. Blending Afrobeats, Afro-pop, Afro house, UK rap, R&B, and dance-driven production, the track leans fully into feel-good energy while bringing together the different sounds Kansah has become known for.
Fun, confident, and built around infectious rhythms and melodic hooks, “Sexy” was created with summer in mind from the very beginning.
“I wanted to create something sexy for summer and festivals/clubs. What better than write a track called ‘Sexy’”, says Kansah. “Originally the track had a deeper male vocal on the chorus and was more of a pure Afrobeats track, however it was completely stripped back and reproduced to fit into an Afro house fusion sound for a more sexy festival feel.”
Written in Los Angeles while working closely with the producer, the track was recorded partly in the USA and partly in the UK. Although the first version of the song leaned more heavily into traditional Afrobeats, the production was later rebuilt to give it a more club-focused Afro house feel, creating a track designed for movement, warm weather and live crowds.
Known for blending rap, grime, Afrobeats, amapiano, and club music without limiting himself to one style, Kansah has built a catalogue that moves comfortably between melodic records, harder rap moments and dance-focused releases.
Alongside his releases, Kansah has continued to build a strong live presence. He has performed at the Afro Industry Concert in London and appeared as one of the headline acts at Afrofest Festival 2025 in Bristol. He has also shared stages with artists including Dappy, Jay1, Fido, and S1mba.
This summer, Kansah is set to perform across the UK as well as internationally in Spain and Kenya. His first international show of the year includes a performance alongside legendary Congolese Afro artist Awilo Longomba and Afrobrunch, before joining Cassidy and some of East Africa’s biggest artists for a major live show in Nairobi.
Online, Kansah’s collaborations with Dr Chaii and DJ Boat have reached close to three million Spotify streams, while visuals featured on Trace Africa and MTV have helped introduce his music to wider international audiences.
With more singles on the way ahead of his upcoming album, “Sexy” arrives as a track that captures exactly what its title promises: smooth vocals, summer energy, and a festival-ready atmosphere built to bring people together on the dance floor.
