Multi-award winning festival Kendal Calling is, for the 13th time in a row, completely sold out. This year’s tickets were all snapped up within just 3 weeks of the lineup, including headliners Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Libertines and Run DMC, being revealed.
For those keen not to miss out on next year’s Lake District spectacular, the first 2019 tickets will be on sale today, Monday 18th June, under the ever-popular 12 Month Payment Plan. With no increase in capacity for 2019, these early tickets are sure to disappear very quickly once again.
Tickets will be available at 10.00am on 18th June from www.bit.ly/KC19Tickets.
The jewel in the crown of Northern music festivals has also revealed their new Yam Riot stage, bringing together the cream of musical talent from across the North. From Kendal Calling veterans who have grown in stature over a number of appearances to bands and artists making their first visit to the fields of Lowther Deer Park, Yam Riot promises an incredible variety of locally-sourced music right at the heart of the festival.
Topping the Yam Riot lineup will be outstanding Carlisle space rock four piece The Lucid Dream and long-time friend of Kendal Calling, Lancaster’s own songbird Molly Warburton. Rising stars both, they top a bill that includes: Lancashire’s 70s-inflected rock’n’roll band Good Foxy; the swirling punk psychedelia of Lakes lads Chadelics; hi-octane alternative rock from Leeds in the shape of Late Night Legacy; atmospheric pop-rock exuberance from Sheffield’s Graces; the soulful, percussive and inventive Dansi from Northumberland; the vibrant indie rock’n’roll of Carlisle’s Sugarspun; North-West synth-funk-to-dubstep from Bad Bambino; the distinctively danceable Afrobeat / Jazz / Funk mashup collective Valparaiso and many more. See the full Yam Riot day-time lineup below.
By night, Yam Riot gives way to an eclectic array of artists curated by Kendal Calling’s friends at Global Riot Presents. Keeping the party going ‘til late across the weekend will be: Odwana, Smoggy Riddim, Felix Hagan & The Family, Tocha, Thingumajigs, Templebys, Omit Sleep, Jeremiah Ferrari, Galactic Funk Militia and Family Ranks.
Also set to appear at Kendal Calling 2018 are Hacienda Classical, James, Ocean Colour Scene, Shed Seven, The Sherlocks, White Lies, The Wailers, Declan McKenna, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Lucy Spraggan, Slow Readers Club, The Amazons, Peter Hook & The Light, Tom Grennan, The Lancashire Hotpots, Pale Waves, Idris Elba, Gorgon City, Horse Meat Disco plus many more, making for an unmissable four days of music, arts, comedy, food and drink and much more!
For a final chance to grab a ticket to Kendal Calling 2018, a limited number will be available via this year’s RESALE on Tuesday 3rd July at 10.00am. Sign up at www.kendalcalling.co.uk/tickets to take part.
