UK singer-songwriter Marsha Swanson has unveiled the stunning new music video for her single “Like an Angel,” a beautifully reimagined track from her critically acclaimed album, Near Life Experience. Directed by Sam Chegini, the award-winning Iranian animator known for his emotive storytelling and vivid visual style, the video is a breathtaking journey through themes of loss, love, and remembrance.
Originally an untitled “ghost track,” “Like an Angel” was re-recorded with a live band and a lush string section at Echo Zoo Studios in Eastbourne, with Swanson working alongside legendary producer Henry (King Thumb) Thomas and a roster of acclaimed musicians. The result is a spiritual, richly textured sound, brought to life through Chegini’s signature dreamlike animation.
With its intimate storytelling and layered visuals, the release marks a continuation of Swanson’s collaboration with Chegini and solidifies her position as one of the UK’s most emotionally evocative voices.
