Tokyo Beach drop their debut release, the brilliantly catchy ‘Messin’ on Get Twisted Records on 5th August.

A bass infused house cut with plenty of soul, ‘Messin’ conjures up balmy, exotic nights thanks to guest vocalist Maxine Hardcastle’s sultry and sexy vocals that create a sound that will be just as popular on the beach as in the club this summer.

Tokyo Beach is a place where you can have fun and let go of your inhibitions. Their sound is influenced by 90s house and legends Larry Heard, Masters at Work, Frankie Knuckles, and Marshall Jefferson, along with the funk of Nile Rodgers’ Chic, and Daft Punk.

British DJ, Singer and producer Maxine Hardcastle has boldly crafted her way through the music industry over the last decade playing at top venues including Ministry of Sound, Egg, Annabel’s, a residency at Pacha Ibiza (at Martin Solveig’s ‘My House’ night), which enabled her to tour the world on the Pacha World Tour. She is currently a resident at Sankeys Ibiza.

Maxine Hardcastle’s recent collaborations include Apollo 84, Andme & Bastian ‘I Believe’, Leftwing & Kody ‘Mad Hot’, and Dr. Kucho! & Trendmonster ‘Invaders’. She has also released on Hed Kandi, Ministry of Sound, Universal, Nurvous, King Street, Love Not Money, Pacha and Lost Records, She is supported by Todd Terry, Sam Divine, Andy Durant and DJ Pioneer.

Get Twisted has gone from strength to strength, having signed an imprint deal with Columbia Records in 2015. Owned by the acclaimed London-based duo Tough Love’s Alex and Stef, Get Twisted’s unique sound of bass infused house cuts mixed with R&B, 90s dance and garage has made the label a force to be reckoned with.

Get Twisted’s growing roster of talent includes Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Sandy Riviera, Amine Edge & DANCE, Man Without A Clue, Full Crate, No Artificial Colours, and Hannah Wants alongside up and coming talent AS I AM, LiTek, Catchment, Newbie Nerdz, and Midnight City.
