ARTBAT - Planeta

ARTBAT are two producers from Ukraine who are putting their home country on the map. The duo make emotive house music on a wide range of labels like Suara, Definition: Music and Eklektisch. Now they get a big step up to the next level with a three tracker on the might Diynamic Music label run by Solomun.

Planeta opens things up with seven minutes of intense and dramatic tech house. The drums are tight and taught and the synths are stern as they zip about. Vocals add intensity and the whole thing is filled with plenty of sweeping synths. Prometheus is then another intergalactic trip, but this one has more melody and smoothness to it that makes it perfect for the late night hours. Sand In Your Shoes is a moody number with rubbery bass and prog style vocals all overlaid with melting melodies raining down the face. In all these are three emotive tracks that really take you on a trip.
