Ivo Deutschmann - Reflection

German producer Ivo Deutschmann drops a trippy six tracker for the second release on Goeran Meyer’s newly launched imprint MYR this January.

Founded in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, this year saw Goeran Meyer kick-start his MYR imprint with a release of his own titled ‘Unhurried Soul’. Joining the roster now is Ivo Deutschmann: a producer from Magdeburg whose rich and hypnotising productions have appeared on Karate Klub, Bondage Music, Spielgold and KolMojito.

Initiating the package with ebbing pads and mesmerizing samples, ‘Ray Of Hope’ is a deep production complete with syncopated drums and a sultry bassline. ‘Transmigration’ then ups the energy with spectral synths and a sporadic spoken vocal before ‘Reflection’ meanders forward using soaring chords and numerous pops, clicks and whirrs. Next, ‘The Walk’ combines shuffling percussion and heady notes to generate a low-slung groove, making way for the subterranean aesthetic of ‘The Gift’ before concluding the package with the ethereal ‘Floating Souls’.
