Getting into the thick of the action for the new year, Clarisse welcomes the dancefloor don of Dos Hermanas, Juan Carlos Cruz Lopez aka Wade to the taste-making label, who delivers a monster 2 track EP, Retrojack.
'Retrojack' is laden with bumpy, bubble-bursting beats, making bodies lunge with it's rap riffin', spicing up the party further with old skool hip-house flavours – there can never be anything wrong with a breakdown that sounds off an air-raid siren before starting all over. Lowering the weight of the kick drum takes the cunning funkiness of 'Spined' to a temple of tribal house. With Wade showing he's all about letting the tempo and tempo alone do all the talking, 'Spined' dominates with ringing synths going heavy on the panic button – a dancefloor explosion.
The Spanish native has a diary already brimming with global dates for 2016, with spots at Sankey's Tribal Sessions in Manchester and this year's Miami Winter music Conference at the top of the list. Wade's down-low throbs have peppered Beatport's top 100 with tracks on labels such as Lost Records and Suara (see the Eminem-sampling 'Collapsed Jam'), racking up recognition from industry greats Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Luciano and Davide Squillace to name a few.
Retrojack drops 29th February on Clarisse Records
