Born on the tropical paradise island of Barbados, Robbi Niles began his musical journey at three years old when he started to play the tenor steel pan. Since that time, he has explored several instruments, including the saxophone, piano, drums and guitar. Now a competent guitarist, composer, lyricist and producer, Robbi has established a fanbase with his distinctive sound and catchy hooks, as can be heard on his brand-new single, “Havana”.
“Havana” hears Robbi explore a new love interest through the soulful sounds of Afrobeats and Afro house. Infused with sticky melodies and Robbi’s effortlessly smooth vocals, the track will no doubt be another success for the rising star. “Havana” is also a testament to Robbi’s production prowess, as the self-produced track is one of his most captivating offerings to date and the perfect soundtrack for summer 2023.
Speaking further on the new single, Robbi says, “Sometimes the best music is created when it is not planned. The idea of this song was born at an impromptu writing session for another project I was working on. After I had created the sample, I left it for approximately three weeks until I was sure which music direction I wanted to pursue. Once I knew Afrobeats was the genre I wanted to create, I then formulated a plan to execute ‘Havana’.” “Havana” is available to buy/stream now on all platforms: https://social-talk.lnk.to/RobbiNilesHavana.
