Sam Olson – Leaving

Montreal born songstress Sam Olson is generating considerable buzz in the pop world for her powerful voice and unique, kaleidoscopic approach to the genre.

From the carefree synthpop spirit of her single “Wildheart”, to the powerhouse EDM stomper “Mirrors”, Sam is just getting started with what will undoubtedly shape up to be a unique, illustrious musical career.

“Mirrors”, a collaboration with fellow Canadian artist Richard Beynon, was released on Paul Oakenfold’s label Perfecto to rave reviews. “This track [Mirrors] has a definite American feel to it focusing on a strong hook sung by Sam Olson that draws you in on the first listen.” (Elektrik Entertainment) “…The electro house trooper brings to us an impeccable track with catchy lyrics that will hook you on to it from the moment you hear it” (The Bangin Beats) “Mirrors” hit 78 on the beatport progressive house charts & 138 on the iTunes(US) dance charts and is played in steady rotation on XM’s “Electric Area”.

Sam’s independently released single “Wildheart” garnered tons of attention from blogs like Ear Milk, newcanadianmusic.ca and Urban Expressions. “Wildheart,” has been making a splash with radio promoters across Canada The Song has received an “enthusiastic thumbs up” from CKXS-FM (Wallaceburg, Ontario), who recently named Sam their “artist of the month.”

On stage, Sam’s powerful yet unassuming presence is impressive, but the real star is not her beauty, but her powerful voice and convincing delivery. She has set her sights on releasing her debut album, and jumping on the Festival circuit across Canada and abroad. The young artist is excited to finally capitalize on her talents for singing, songwriting, and performing, and following her passionate wildheart.
