San Cisco launch brand new single ‘Horoscope’ into the ether

SAN CISCO RELEASE HYPNOTISING NEW TRACK ‘HOROSCOPE’

Listen here:

An ode to letting life roll and blaming it on the stars, San Cisco return today with their latest track ‘Horoscope’ – another taster from their forthcoming fifth studio album coming later this year. The new track follows on from a run of electric live shows at WA’s Summersalt Festival, SA’s Vintage Vibes festival and the 2023 Formula 1 Grand Prix and the exciting announcement of a headline show in Broome later this year in May.

In true San Cisco fashion, the band delicately layer bittersweet lyricism between a mesmerising melody that almost distracts from the feeling that Mercury seems to be in an eternal retrograde. “I wouldn’t say I live and die by the sword of astrology, but I think us humans love to try and understand why things happen when there is no straightforward answer and for me, the planets and the stars seem as good an explanation as any” Jordi explains.

“It could be me adjusting to my now fully formed frontal cortex, or that Saturn has finally returned to the same position as when I landed on earth, or that “life” has been hitting slightly different and harder lately. This song is for me and anyone else that’s going through this shift and the shit fight we call life.”

To mark the release of the new track, San Cisco have also shared the official visualiser for the track.

The new track signifies the end of a long few months deep in studio sessions split between LA and Fremantle recording the trio’s forthcoming fifth studio album – a collaborative work with producer James Ireland (Pond, Cuco) and mixed by Grammy award winning engineer Neal H. Pogue (Steve Lacy, Tyler The Creator, Outkast)

With no signs of slowing down, the band will be heading to Darwin for Bass In The Grass 2023 before heading off to Bali for the 2023 Dream Machine Festival and returning for Mackay’s Be Social Fest. Additionally, the band were also nominated for the Reader’s Choice Awards at the 2023 Rolling Stone Awards alongside Lime Cordiale, CXLOE, Tones & I and more.

Hailing from Fremantle, Western Australia, throughout their illustrious ten-year career indie-pop three-piece San Cisco have become one of Australia’s most successful independent artists amassing multiple accolades. Garnering millions of streams and critical acclaim through the release of four studio albums, San Cisco have toured the world selling out headline shows and appearing at festivals such as Splendour In The Grass, Lollapalooza, Reading & Leeds and many more. San Cisco’s fourth studio album Between You and Me in late 2020 – an album two years and at least one sadly remembered love affair in the making – reached top three in the ARIA Album Charts and featured leading Hottest 100 charting singles ‘When I Dream’, ‘Skin’, festival anthem ‘Reasons’ and ‘On The Line’. Album five on its way in 2023.
