THE SUN SOARS ON FIRST DAY OF SCOTLAND’S THE ELECTRIC FROG & PRESSURE RIVERSIDE FESTIVAL

Festival season got underway at Glasgow’s iconic Riverside Museum today as The Electric Frog & Pressure Riverside Festival turned up the heat and celebrated its forth edition with an incredible line-up of international and local talent.

Stars Sven Väth, Ben Klock, Rødhåd and Laurent Garnier plus local heroes SLAM and Gary Beck were among the highlights of day one at Scotland’s premier electronic music festival.

As the sun set on the banks of the river Clyde and the first day came to a close, festival organisers announced the final day of Scotland’s biggest electronic music festival is a sell out. Set to feature over eight hours of banging DJ sets, Sunday’s event will be headlined by icon Fatboy Slim.

Day one saw sets from the Cocoon’s Sven Väth and Laurent Gariner going down a storm with fans, whilst SLAM and Ben Klock created a euphoric atmosphere around the river Clyde. From the gates opening in the sun-drenched afternoon, this year’s event proved to be bigger and better than ever.

Heverlee Beer provided the chilled refreshments and fans enjoyed street food from local vendors with the sun in the sky. VIP festival-goers were able to experience a unique VIP area which was hosted in the award-winning Riverside Museum, a first for the festival. A vintage Glasgow street opened up it’s ornate style rooms, serving up summer-themed cocktails and refreshments.

Tickets for day two are now sold out. The festival organisers are extremely excited to once again welcome its fans to the event on this Bank Holiday Weekend and cannot wait to see performances from the likes of Jackmaster, Kerri Chandler and Dixon Avenue Basement Jams unfold.
