Written in response to the US Supreme Court’s ruling to significantly weaken the Voting Rights Act, the track already carried a heavy political charge, and the visualizer leans into that further, closing with a message of solidarity with the people across the southern United States marching against the ruling’s fallout.

Presented in vertical format, the visualiser gives ‘Poison Rain’ a second life built for the platforms where Nanseera’s audience actually lives. It’s a fitting move for a song this direct: gothic, back porch Americana that Nanseera has described as apocalyptic yet hopeful, built on acoustic guitar, dobro, banjo, upright bass and drums.
