Legendary DJs & producers Robbie Rivera and Todd Terry have teamed up for the revamp of Terry’s classic track, “Sume Sigh Sey,” out August 24 exclusively on Beatport through Juicy Music.
A Latin-inspired, dancefloor shaker, “Sume Sigh Sey” features strong percussive buildups that explode into retro house breakdowns fit for this summer’s hottest parties. Derived from Terry’s 1993 release under his House of Gypsies moniker, the pair’s collective efforts pay full homage to the original while giving it a new and unique flavor. Already seeing support from top DJs like Kaskade, Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold, Basement Jaxx, Bob Sinclar, Idris Elba, Sunnery James, Style of Eye, Dirty South and more, this thumping banger is sure to live up to fan’s expectations coming from two of dance music’s most celebrated figures.
The pioneer of his self-described “tuff, sexy, tribal house music” sound, Puerto Rico native Robbie Rivera has continued to influence producers worldwide for over 20 years with his Latin influences and rhythms. A trailblazer in his own right, Grammy-nominated Brooklyn producer Todd Terry’s early work in the late 1980s is considered a milestone in the development of both progressive and modern deep house.
