Top 5 Parties Coming Up This Weekend
Not sure about what parties to attend this weekend? Look no further, here are the top 5 parties not to miss this weekend:
PAWSA (All Night Long) & Real Gang Soundsystem
Venue: Fabric London
PAWSA performs a very special all night long set in Farringdon on Friday 15th November. The Solid, Grooves maestro will be digging deep into his crates with us, taking charge of our Room One space for the entire night. In Room Three, Real Gang Soundsystem guide the dancefloor from start to finish.
25 Years Of Bugged Out! w/ Green Velvet, Modeselektor DJs & more
Venue: Printworks London
Bugged Out – one of the UK’s longest running club nights – mark 25 years since their inception at Printworks with a stellar cast.
Green Velvet played his first UK show at Bugged Out in 1996 so it is fitting that he closes the show. Since the mid 90s he has produced charismatic, evergreen club hits like ‘Flash’, ‘La La Land’ and ‘Bigger Than Prince’. Another much loved electronic act that came to prominence in the same mid 90s period as Green Velvet are chief exponents of mutant, absurdist techno Modeselektor. They have filled the Bugged Out stage at Field Day numerous times.
It wouldn’t be a Bugged Out party without the inclusion of Erol Alkan who has played the night nearly 100 times. Erol was snapped up to be Bugged Out’s resident back in 2001 after one incredible set at Fabric. He resided for the club at The End and recorded the 2005 Bugged Out/Bugged In selection compilation – tonight he will play both rooms reflecting both Bugged Out and Bugged In (arrjve early for this).
Bugged Out first booked Dusky for the Weekender in 2013 and were firmly aligned with in London putting on their sell out live shows and starting their ‘all night long’ brand Dusky Takes a Trip. They play two sets at the party in the main room and then closing room 2 with an acid house set (an era that has influenced the sound of their recent releases).
The club has, since its early days, given a platform for bands to DJ (if they are equipped with deck skills) and so Jungle, the Shepherds Bush soul collective, will man the decks in the afternoon.
Audio Circuit x Oblivion – W/ Amine Edge & DANCE
Venue: The Steel Yard Nightclub
Following the success from our last event at The Steel Yard, Audio Circuit and Oblivion will be collaborating once again for another amazing party to end the year with some massive headliners.
Helena Hauff, Mozhgan, Tom Trago & Dekmantel Soundsystem
To round off six years of the XOYO residency series, we’ve collaborated with the Dutch collective, Dekmantel Soundsystem, who are responsible for putting the Netherlands’ vibrant dance music scene on the map through their hugely successful festival, cutting edge label and more.
Still one of the most exciting DJs in the world, Helena Hauff will be shelling out her distinctive sound when she joins us on week six. With her playing the final set at last years Dekmantel festival, it made sense to have her bring her dirty, raw set, where she tends to combine melancholy electro with uncompromising techno, to our basement.
Mozhgan has consistently been delivering festival favourite sets over the last few years, especially during her breathtaking performance at (Dekmantel) Selectors last year. She makes the perfect addition to this show.
Heavyweight, Tom Trago and Casper Tielrooij (one half of Dekmantel Soundsystem) lays things down up in the Green Room.
Hot Wuk – Bashment Party
Venue: Village Undergound
Hot Wuk have been throwing the wickedest bashment raves in the UK for the last 10 years. We build a safe space for people from all walks of life where everyone can come and share their love of dancehall music.
London soundsystem The Heatwave play all night long: the UK’s leading dancehall crew with over 15 years’ experience shelling down raves and festivals all round the world.
