Various Artists – …I Care Because You Don’t

Having risen to the fore of the worldwide techno scene over the last few years with their remarkably distinct style of ‘post-knackered’ techno, Clouds have gone from strength to strength with releases on the likes of Fifth Wall, Perc Trax and Soma. The Scottish duo return to Turbo, the label that birthed them only a few years ago, to present a medley of crunchy disparate rhythms, freakish soundscapes and piercing leads.

What should be mentioned first, and what is most impressive about this compilation, is that it was compiled entirely from tracks their friends ‘in Dundee, Perth, and the surrounding mud-lands’ gave them. Also featured on the compilation are two fantastic new tracks from Clouds themselves, ‘Blood Skating’ and ‘Don’t Sweat The Technique’, which are guaranteed to get a massive response on dance floors all around the globe. What you should expect from this is nothing but the best of what Clouds have to offer: an exhilarating and blood-curdling journey into their unique world of Scottish hooligan techno.
