So, today we are thrilled to be joined by the talented Producer and DJ as he walks us through his recent track, ‘Implosion’, delving into the production process and the inspirations behind the release.

Hi Vicente Panach, how’s it going?

Enjoying a great day, and I hope you are too!

Can you start by telling us about your new track ‘Implosion’; for those who haven’t heard it yet, how would you describe its sound?

I think it is a combination of a very enveloping and underground sound with sharp touches that make it very immersive.

What was the production process like? Can you walk us through how you        created the track?

I needed the groove – haha! To start, I wanted some power, creating that “crescendo” that then descended to the last hit, without losing that hard-hitting feeling. I think I achieved that!

Did you have any specific inspirations or influences in mind when you set out to produce the track?

Yes, I wanted to combine that forceful dirty sound inspired by ancient Techno and Progressive, with the newest sounds and processing styles.

Do you have a favourite part of the production process?

Always the sketch, when the idea is born, although that is the hardest part of the production, finding the feeling, but if it is achieved, the mood is very beautiful.

The track features a pounding, thumping low end. Can you walk us through how you craft such hard-hitting soundscapes? Which details do you focus on to create the powerful driving energy of your tracks?

I like to position the sounds in a specific place so that they have a great surround while still being impressive. Technically, sometimes it’s not easy with so many frequencies in the same area, and I have a lot of fights in that sense but with the mixing process, everything ends up sitting well.

Did you face any challenges whilst in the studio? If so, how did you overcome them?

All the time, but I’m very stubborn with that. When I have an idea, I carry it out and if it works then I work hard on it.

What would you say makes this track stand out from your previous releases?

All my last tracks have new sounds, new progressions, and new moods because I’m experimenting all the time. I always try to tell a different story in each song, and for that, I don´t like being pigeonholed.

The soundscape of ‘Implosion’ is layered with many different intense elements. Can you explain how you create such mighty-sounding mixes, whilst ensuring each sonic detail stands out?

As I was saying before, the position and the frequencies are the key, but it is not only the technique but perception. When I create music it fills me with energy, it’s a therapy, for this reason, from my point of view, there is neither an excess nor lack of sounds. It’s perfect for me, and if it is, it will be for more people.

Now that ‘Implosion’ is out, what do you have lined up next? Are there any more releases coming soon that you can tell us about now?

Sure! I’ve been working for some time with Deep-Progressive Techno-type stuff so you will certainly be able to hear something new from me soon.

As we close our conversation with Vicente Panach, we thank him for taking the time to speak with us and for giving us a glimpse into the techniques and technical process that supported his creation of ‘Implosion’.
