WetYourSelf! Turn 10 This February With Barac And Cristi Cons

Birthdays have always been a big thing for us in Farringdon – and reaching a milestone as weighty as a decade of existence feels like as worthy occasion as any for a big celebration. It was 2007 when WetYourSelf! put on their first Sunday party in East London – 10 years, a weekly Sunday residency, 500 consecutive parties later, and they’re still running at full strength. Ever since it was first incepted WYS! has offered an alternative in London’s clubbing community by placing a focus on local underground DJs – something that remains true to their ethos today, with residents Jacob Husley and Peter Pixzel at the core.

WetYourSelf! celebrates its 10th birthday at fabric on 5th February 2017 as Romanian minimal heads Barac and Cristi Cons step up alongside Husley and Pixzel. One of the best celebrated producers of Romania’s thriving electronic music movement and part of the lauded Sunrise crew, Barac has long been one of the minimal house scene’s stalwarts. Barac is joined by Cristi Cons, the classical-inspired instrumentalist and head of the experimental Amphia imprint.

The 10th birthday follows a year of notoriety for the Sunday night party – resident DJ Jacob Husley first made headlines in June last year when an elderly Polish couple visited their night, before Husley became a key campaigner in the bid to #savefabric.

WetYourSelf! first launched at London’s Club Aquarium in 2007 before taking up residency at fabric– they’ve since taken the party to clubs such as Space Ibiza, D-Edge and Culture Box. Pixzel and Pixzel and Husley are also heads of WYS! Recordings – since it's beginning 5 years ago  has homed the work of artists like Roman Flügel, Marc Houle, Chris Liebing, Minilogue,  former WYS! resident Cormac and many more.

Following fabric’s licence revocation at the tail-end of 2016, WetYourSelf! will return to host Sunday nights weekly in the Farringdon venue in the New Year.
