Tough Love - What You Need Is Me

Game changing DJ/Production duo Tough Love are back to shake things up once again with the release of another thundering house banger via their esteemed and self-owned imprint, Get Twisted. ‘What You Need Is Me’ is set to follow previous releases on the label that have whipped up a frenzy in the dance music blogosphere and garnered widespread DJ attention the world over.

The guy’s distinctive productions and in-demand sets have had backsides bouncing and heads spinning across the globe thanks to a whirlwind of sell-out summer shows. These have included a residency at Sankey’s in Ibiza for Redlight, SW4 Festival, Radistai Festival, Spring Fest, City Sound Project and a curated tour of UK featuring their Get Twisted label mates.

Alex and Stef, aka Tough Love, wear their musical heritage with pride, taking cues from R&B, 90’s dance classics and garage gems. Weekly Kiss FM residents with two Top 40 singles and a silver sales award on the studio mantelpiece, Tough Love have acquired fans from Mistajam, Annie Mac, Claptone and The Magician, to dancefloor regulars at your local club, who all wait for their next definitive move with baited breath.

With the arrival of ‘What You Need Is Me’ this wait is now over. Featuring steel drums and a rubbery bass-line topped with a distinctively dulcet vocal from Nastalay, the track is the perfect party starter, filler and ender – always receiving a euphoric reception when the guys close out their mammoth sets with it.
