Lawrence Hart & Ryan Winters collaborate on evocative breaks cut ‘LDN VBZ’ – Out Now
Lawrence Hart releases the second track, ‘LDN VBZ’, from his upcoming EP – ‘Small-Scale Experimental Machine‘ (full EP out April 1st).
‘LDN VBZ’ sees Lawrence team up with Ryan Winters, who previously remixed a track on Hart’s debut EP. The pair bring the raucous energy of London nightlife & the club culture they grew up with, in this dark, breaksy track. Toying with intricate layers of analogue synthesizers, Lawrence and Ryan spritz electronic nostalgia onto a completely original sound. There’s also a video by Ryan Winters accompanying the release, showing a wild ride around London that matches the track perfectly.
“Ryan and I connected over our mutual love of electronic music, especially what’s come out of London since the 90s. With this track we wanted to make something that epitomised that sound, something that could soundtrack those sprawling nights out through London’s clubs.”
The Small-Scale Experimental Machine EP is named after the world’s first stored-program computer developed by Lawrence’s Grandfather, working alongside the likes of Alan Turing. That same Grandfather gifted Lawrence his first musical instrument as a child, handing down both his love for music and passion for technology.
Lawrence Hart has worked and collaborated with some of the most exciting names in electronic music including Model Man, Alan Fitzpatrick, George Fitzgerald… His debut EP ‘Surrender Yourself’ amassed millions of streams and sweeping support across top tier radio, including bagging ‘Essential New Tune‘, along with props from his peers.
Since this EP’s first track ‘Within These Walls’ dropped in 2021, Lawrence has released successful remixes: Lau.ra’s ‘Body Go’ (his remix widely supported including regular BBC Radio 1 plays) and Foals’ ‘Wake Me Up’ (the lead single from their upcoming album).
