As he offers listeners a unique sound, one that blends elements from genres like Indie Dance and Minimal, Craig Oram continues to bring dancefloor-ready tracks to his listeners, establishing his place as one of the top talents for genre lovers to be keeping an eye on.

Most favorite track?

Aww man, it changes from month to month…

But I did hear myself saying recently that ‘Horrific News’ by Mooh was one of my favorite tracks. It’s Progressive and powerful and greatly produced.

Also, a track called ‘Extra Pill’ by an Egyptian producer called Shata – it’s a pumping underground Minimal track from a few years back. It has some high-pitch clicks and plucks that I love.

Your top DJ?

I would have to say it would be my friends Mitchell Watson, Aslan Taylor, and my brother Cameron Oram. Check them on Soundcloud.

But I think my most played tunes on my stick will be from Lu4o, Mooh, S-Lap, Shagy (IL) and Proof DB – especially their tunes from a few years back. Very talented successful, underground DJs.

Sorry, I can’t just choose one…

Three surprising facts about yourself?

I was born with 3 holes in my heart and only 1 kidney…
I very nearly decided to go to America for a golf scholarship.
I currently work as an Oil and Gas technician in the Mediterranean Sea.

Favourite venue you’ve performed at?

To be honest it was at our own party in the woods we hosted when camping back home and ended up staying for 6 nights.

Rock concerts or Indie Dance Festivals?

Indie Dance festivals are what I live for, I haven’t been to many Rock events, to be honest, but I would like to indulge a bit more and broaden my listening and crowd experiences.

Producing or DJing?

I was a Producer before I learned to DJ, I definitely get great pleasure out of both though. The feeling of playing your tracks to an audience is unbeatable, but also that moment in the studio when your track starts to come together is very exciting.

Most used plugin?

It would have to be Serum for ease and quick creativity; however, I am trying to expand my skills and utilise new synths like Phase Plant and VPS Avenger. I do also love Ableton stock plugins like Wavetable and Roar.

Performing on an island or playing on a yacht?

Both sound ideal and I’m sure I’d love either… Just looking for any chance to find out which I’d prefer.

Psychedelic or groovy tunes?

Funnily enough, psychedelic and groovy are the two main feelings I am trying to achieve in my own productions…  A lot of inspiration comes from Psychedelic Trance and funky Minimal tracks.

In my rekordbox, you can find a whole host of both kinds of tunes…

Top creative milestone you’re hoping to achieve this year?

As a Producer, I think I’d like another 3 tracks released this year, ideally on some reputable labels, instead of self-releasing through Ditto. Also, I’d love to meet, learn and collaborate with other like-minded Producers.

As a DJ I’d love to establish myself or my friend and I’s duo project ‘Campsite Kings’ within the festival and club scene.

Standout moment of your career so far?

So far it was definitely when my friend Mitchell and I managed to play a large campsite rave at The Beatherder Festival in 2022, then be asked back the following year by the festival to perform officially at one of their stages – sparking the beginning of the ‘Campsite Kings’ duo.

With an exciting path ahead, we’re looking forward to seeing what Craig Oram delivers next; guaranteed to be high in quality and electrifying in sound, be sure to keep him on your radar as he continues carving out his musical journey.
