Elohim breathes new life into Deluxe Edition of celebrated album ‘Power Of Panic’
After the original album release of ‘Power Of Panic was highlighted by the likes of Rolling Stone, the New York Times and Billboard, US star Elohim is back with a deluxe edition that breathes new life into her original work.
Beautifully constructed and critically acclaimed, ‘Power of Panic’ cemented Elohim’s status as one of American electronica’s most vulnerable chanteuses, a fierce combination of defiance and emotional rawness, wrapped up in sublime production levels. On her Deluxe edition, the musician drops another three singles to the LP’s playlist. ‘Sail’ is a stripped back rework of AWOLNATION’s defining anthem, taken down a notch in Elohim’s hands to a place of honest intimacy. Brief interlude ‘Scratch My Brain’ is a stream of consciousness back and forth between twitching, glitching parts of the artist’s thought process, perfectly capturing the stuttering struggle of a battling inner monologue. Uneasy, unsettling and tense, ‘Patience’ is a twisted, sinister cut that skulks in the darker, creepier corners of Elohim’s mind with delicious effect.
