Disco Proof turns ‘Left Right’ into a sweat-soaked exercise

Sometimes the smartest thing a dance record can do is stop overthinking itself.

Disco Proof’s ‘Left Right’ takes that philosophy directly onto the dancefloor, building a playful, hard-driving tech-house track around an idea almost anyone can understand.

Previous Disco Proof material has explored more atmospheric and emotional corners of electronic music, but this time the target is unmistakably the booth. There are clear connections to the crowd-focused immediacy of John Summit, FISHER, Mau P, Dom Dolla and Chris Lake, yet the personality of the project remains intact beneath the tech-house framework.

Created and arranged in Ableton before being independently mixed and mastered, ‘Left Right’ incorporates Disco Proof’s own audio plugins. Proof Dust is used to introduce texture and movement, while Proof Prism helps shape a low end specifically intended to remain clear and forceful through club systems.

It’s a technical detail that actually matters because it reflects something broader about Disco Proof: technology is not simply the means of making the music, but part of the artist’s creative identity.

In all, ‘Left Right’ is about participation, repetition and the moment when individual movement becomes collective. And there’s something wonderfully uncomplicated about that.

‘Left Right’ is immediate, physical and knowingly playful. It’s the sound of Disco Proof discovering that sometimes community begins with nothing more complicated than everyone moving in the same direction.
