Next up on Defected’s breakout label DFTD is Andrea Oliva, who drops a three track EP of sublime, diverse house music. Fresh from delivering a dope mix on Defected In The House Miami 2014, Oliva’s ‘Decomposing EP’ is a beautifully realised debut for the label.
Title track ‘Decomposing’ offsets moody tribal drums with a heart breaking piano line with truly stunning results. ‘Reseed’ wears its 90’s influences proudly on its sleeve as clattering hats and a frisky bassline guarantee dancefloor satisfaction, while ‘Htrack’ heads for pure deep house territory, with warm pads and heady atmospherics combining in exquisite style.
