Calussa and Subelo NEO Fuse Their Global Sounds on Sensational Latin-Meets-Afro-Tech Collab “Te Recorde’ on Insomniac Records

Miami-born production pair Calussa are joining forces with Puerto Rican duo Subelo NEO for a smooth and evocative house anthem that marks their debut on Insomniac Records. “Te Recorde” is a groove-filled house bop of global proportions.

“Te Recorde” blurs the boundaries between melancholic and moving, blending evocative undertones with an infectious groove. Sung in a Spanish tongue, the forlorn lyrics trace the shape of a former lover who’s impossible to forget. The vocal delivery is silky smooth, shifting between sultry and yearning. Circular piano chords, swinging string melodies, and moody pads deepen the emotional pull while afro-tech house percussive patterns, clattering accents, and rattling synth leads round out the resolution. Fusing adjacent musical cultures and transcending language barriers, “Te Recorde” is an impassioned house gem primed to be an international smash.

Calussa reflects on how the collaboration came together saying, “We decided to combine our sound with Subelo NEO’s Latin-focused approach ,and take this opportunity to create something truly special and unique for ‘Te Recorde.’”

Miami natives Calussa have been taking over the global dance scene with a sound that bridges the gap between afro and tech house. The pair have been making waves with a myriad of solo releases, in addition to collaborations alongside Carlita and Nic Faniulli. Their unique sound has even garnered press coverage from industry giant Billboard. They have upcoming performances at  EDC Mexico, Avant Gardner, Body Language 2024 Festival, and will be supporting Dombresky at New City Gas.

Subelo NEO are a Puerto Rico-based production duo with a strong footing in the Latin dance community. They co-produced Bad Bunny’s smash hit  “Yo Perreo Sola, which has amassed over 720 million streams on Spotify alone, which was followed by another writing credit with Bad Bunny on “Me Porto Bonito” alongside Chencho Corleone. in 2023, they teamed up with Rauw Alejandro on their collab “RON COLA,” surpassing more than 134 million streams to date. The pair was also nominated for the ‘Youth 2020’ Award (Univision) as El ‘Producer que Siempre Nombran.’

Impassioned and groove-laden, “Te Recorde” is an emotive bop that’s built for sunset sets and open-air dancefloors alike.
