Adam Port - Do You Still Think Of Me?
It’s been a while since the last Keinemusik solo EP. The Berlin based collective released their first collaborative album “You Are Safe” last year, followed by remixes from the likes of Black Coffee, Gerd Jansen, Solomun and DJ Tennis. Here, Adam Port showcases his own material with two melancholic, percussive cuts made for moody dancefloors.
Adam takes the sentimental route on the A-side, the lingering piano motif and flickering synths of the tracktitle “Do You Still Think Of Me?” effective in their simplicty, and the minor chords triggering sunset nostalgia. On the flip, the tribal heavy Capoeira leanings of “Roots Edit” provide an immediate drive to bathe while dancefloors in unfettered elation.
*Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, and music. It was developed in Brazil at the beginning of the 16th century.
