Sous Sol - Ideas Around EP

Sous Sol will release the ‘Ideas Around’ EP via German imprint Bondage Music this January, accompanied by a remix from Frink.

Bondage Music has been releasing stripped-back electronic music since 2006 from some of the most reputed names in groove led house, such as Romania’s Markus Homm, NTFO and Mihai Popoviciu, and Germany’s Gorge and David Keno to name just a few. Here though we see the label welcome some new talent onto its roster in the shape of Swiss duo Suos Sol, most notably known for releases on Gorge’s Re:Fresh Your Mind, and Mihai Popoviciu’s Cyclic, making their output a perfect fit for Bondage Music.

Up first is the original mix of ‘Ideas Around’, a melodic groove-led number fuelled by bubbling arpeggios, swirling chords and murky vocal shots alongside a tight rhythmic drive. Spanish producer Frink then steps up with his take on ‘Ideas Around’ reworking the original into a smooth, dubbed out interpretation via ethereal atmospherics, spiralling dub echoes and bumpy drums.

‘Chance To Walk’ from Suos Sol then rounds out the package on a minimalistic tip with a subtly blooming melodic feel, bringing soaring pads and floaty arps into the limelight whilst organic percussion further carries the groove.

Suos Sol’s ‘Ideas Around’ EP is out on Bondage Music 23rd January (Beatport Exclusive) and 20th March (General) 2016.
