Today, Melt Festival, the Mad Max inspired post-industrial festival mecca, announces the entirety of its 2019 line up, cementing its place as the undisputed king of German festivals.

Joining previously announced artists Bon Iver, A$AP Rocky, Jorja Smith and Skepta in the ‘City of Iron’ from 19 – 21 July 2019 will be: Canadian producer wunderkind and notoriously party-starting DJ Kaytranada; the ever-boundary pushing Hessle Audiocollective; one of the most influential creatives of the moment, Off-White & Louis Vuitton creative director and talented DJ Virgil Abloh, and Swedish cloud rap man of the moment Yung Lean, whose only European show this year will be at Melt.

There will be a particular emphasis on special showcases this year: on Sunday, Melt favourite The Black Madonna will present her ‘We Still Believe’ party at The Big Wheel stage with Jennifer Cardini, HAAi and Octo Octa, while over at The Sleepless Floor,Solomun hosts Dubfire, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Adana Twins and more for his Diynamic Takeover. Elsewhere, Highsnobiety will host their soundsystem with some of the most exciting musical talents of the moment, including Flohio, Slowthai and Jimothy.

Originating from counter culture rave culture roots in a traditionally right wing area of Germany, Melt has steadfastly remained a strong statement of inclusivity and diversity in the 22 years since it was founded. Nowhere will the liberal rave spirit be more embodied than deep in the Melt forest, which this year plays host to Pornceptual, Berlin’s most deviant, diverse, queer collective. They will be joined by Pansy’s Playhouse a house party featuring round-the-clock drag shows and more. In their own words, they’ll be waiting with their legs wide open…
