Myra Monoka released hypnotic eletronica produced by Mongoose
Song
With this song we wanted to tell people about the synergy of one’s inner conflicts and the ways of resolving them. It’s important for us that people know that sometimes we also struggle with our demons. Writing this song is our way of effectively dealing with these issues and hopefully others can also relate this concept. To represent this idea in the music itself as well, we decided to use only analog instruments and synthesizers and blend them together seamlessly in order to display hese inner battles and their resolution.
Collaboration
Myra Monoka and Mongoose (Seoul Station) have been releasing music together for a decade now. We are always more than excited to work together, because we know that at the end of the day we are going to bring out the best from each other. Our journey began years ago, but we feel like the end is nowhere near and there are way more songs to follow.
Visual
To follow the sonic concept of this duality, we wanted to make sure that it is represented visually as well. The blurred contours of Myra on the artwork is in contrast with the sharp moment that was captured with the help of a flashlight. The artwork is one picture that still feels like two separate images.
