Push and pull, rise and fall, soar and crash.
No matter how hard you try to stay level, you are pushed between extremes. You can try to understand it, you can try to control it, but the best things happen when you just go with it. The Weird is a musical retelling of the experiences, emotions and characters which have coloured the last decade of Nick Dow’s life. This debut album touches on themes of expectation, despair, and hope; weaving intricate narratives through dream-like ambiences, earthy textures and sophisticated melodies.
Challenging, complex but rooted in harmonious euphoria, the album boils beneath a turbulent ocean, cresting waves of organic instrumentation before breaking on to the shore.
