NXT recordings – Highlights 01

Highlights 01 is the first of a series of releases by NXT recordings that include various tracks from several artists. It’s an EP that offers different points of view of techno. It consists of two new tracks accompanied by a short selection of works previously published on the label. So far the promo has received positive feedback and support from international DJs such as Âme, Danny Tenaglia, Dubfire, Sasha, Slam, Marcel Dettmann, Troy Pierce, Arnaud Rebotini, Marco Bailey, Cristian Varela, Dave Tarrida, Ron Costa, The Advent, Gary Beck, Sebastian Roya, Angel Costa, DJ T, Lars Wickinger and many more.

Belgian artist Ugur Yurt opens up the sixth release for this Spanish label with two exclusive brand new productions. “Walk Along” is an impressively atmospheric techno track in which the hi-hats rule the environment that has already reached 60 on  Beatport’s Top 100 Techno chart,  followed by “Pink Stars”, an acid techno cut commanded by a thundering baseline.

Along with these two amazing massive tracks, Highlights 01 includes two remixes of “Club System”, a dance floor bomber handcrafted by the also Belgian music producer Van Czar, a versatile artist member of the legendary Bonzai Records label who is able to adapt his underground character to styles like techno, tech-house or deep-house. The two remixes, in which the love for hybrid of hardware and digital resources for production shines through, are tailor made by Brendon Moeller and Echologist respectively.

Highlights 01 follows with the industrial-like original mix of “Palmitate” by Spanish producer YosoYYo, a frisky mind devoted to avant-garde electronic music in all variants from the deeper and underground house through the purest and highest voltage techno.

The JoyB remix of YosoYYo’s “Boric Acid” closes Highlights 01 in style since it is a track that creates an atmosphere that gets the dance floors come to a musical orgasm.

NXT recordings saw its birth in 2013 motivated by some of the artists promoted by Spanish talent agency NXT management, which propels a wide range of DJs and live acts from house to techno. As well as the agency roster, the label copes with either house and techno tunes as well as anything in between. This is the sixth release of the label and there are already some more releases in the pipeline that will see the light very soon. Stay tuned!
