Valent - Amon EP
Shlomi Aber’s Be As One imprint has seen such artists as Gel Abril, Itamar Sagi and Andrea Oliva offer up their musical contributions over the past few years. Next up to the plate comes German born DJ and producer Valentin Reiter, aka. Valent., with his storming four track EP titled Amon.
The first track, ‘Crisis Of Faith’ comes in hard and fast with an eery, gothic pad which layers up perfectly over the top of the driving drum pattern beneath. The second track ‘Black Wool’ takes you on a deep, tribal techno trip, with plenty of mesmerising acid flecks throughout. Despite appearing on the b-side of the release – the title track Amon is a solid techno roller, with a heavy, hypnotising acid influence from start to finish. Valent. rounds off the release with an emotional yet heavily acidic dancefloor number titled ‘Chemical’, which consists of layers of beautifully building euphoric stabs set over a hard hitting 4×4 beat and shuffling hats.
