Hi Guys, congrats on your new ‘Give Me Your Love EP’ on Fool’s Paradise, how did the collaboration come about?
Whilst we were over in London, we went to the studio together with our musician Stefano Donato to create some new music to present to Mark Knight. Him and his team liked our projects and we met up with Katy Alex who sang both ‘Give Me You Love’ and ‘Work It Out’. What an amazing experience it was to be able to share such great moments with artists of this level.
Please tell us a little bit about the inspiration behind the EP title track, ‘Give Me Your Love’.
We set out to make a feel-good Disco House track and Katy wrote the catchy lyrics to it and delivered a bold declaration of love on the vocals.
The EP also features ‘Work It Out’, what can we expect to hear?
‘Work It Out’ has a more housier vibe with a funky groove, it’s really uplifting and suitable for any dancefloor.
How has the release been going down in your DJ sets and on the radio?
We played both tracks last Saturday night and we received great feedback from the people who were listening. We’ve received lots of Instagram stories featuring ‘Work It Out’ and it is being liked by tons of people, which is a good sign!
Production wise, how did you go about putting the release together and who did what in the studio?
The first ideas came from Andrea, who works for radio Capital as music selector and he knows lots of different kinds of genres. After that, we met each other together with our musician Stefano and we re-played the samples. We love this way of working in our team.
Did you face any challenges or obstacles in the writing or recording process?
It all came together really well spontaneously, thankfully no challenges or obstacles while writing and recording the EP.
What are the pro’s and cons when collaborating on a track?
Well, for us there are only pro’s because we always love it when many heads are involved, we work pretty well together.
What was the main kit that you used on the release and did you get to work with any new instruments or kit in the process?
To be honest, we are lucky to have real human musicians and not VST, which makes everything cooler.
How did you begin your relationship with the Fool’s Paradise label?
‘Me & You’, featuring vocalist Lukas Setto, was our first track released on Fool’s Paradise last year, and it came out of the same studio day when we made the tracks with Katy Alex. This single was under our Re-Tide guise and also featured a remix from Dr Packer. The release received great feedback in Italy because it was played a lot by radio Deejay, one of the biggest radios with about 5 million listeners daily.
When you’re not making music or DJing, what do you do to chill out?
Patrizio: I play basketball with my team. I love this game!
Danny : I really enjoy a good work out at the gym.
Andrea: I listen to music at 360° the whole time. It is my job but also my passion.
