GAIST - Damage EP
Now four releases deep into a seemingly unstoppable campaign that is catching the attention of some of the scene’s most revered names, GAIST are back with another offering of their signature dark, industrial techno that’s more than just a statement of intent – it’s a full-on battle cry.
A two track release, the Damage EP has already gained the support of key players including Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Durtysoxx, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Movement6, Tom Tronic, Dhyan Droik and more. Opening with the title track, ‘Damage’, the EP starts as it means to go on with a relentless ‘take no prisoners’ rolling bassline and dirtchamber feel, whilst ‘The Drums’ expertly fuses its percussion with the kind of eerie groove you’d expect to hear on a 4am dance floor.
Already counting the legendary Claude Vonstroke as an ardent supporter of their sound, GAIST have set a precedent for an impeccably high standard of production. With weeks of culminated chart success and already counting the dance floors of We Are FSTVL, Zoo Project and Sankeys Ibiza as successful conquests, GAIST is a name you’ll be hearing a lot more of in 2015.
