Basti Grub - Poemuffin
Basti Grub is a man with many styles. He is a production machine with many credits to his name too, and now he pops up on the Digital Traffik label with two more top cuts that are sure to make as much of a mark on DJs and dancers as the rest of his fine back catalogue.
Tingog is first up and is the sort of barrel chested, pumping drum based tune that is silky and hypnotic. Weird samples and odd woody percussion help drive it along while big vocal cheers add real party atmosphere. On the flip, Poemuffin is eight minutes of freaky and woozy tech with wonky drums, clever effects on the sweeping synths and more vocals all stitched into the groove. This is a brace of brilliant cuts from a real master of the form.
