Jean Pierre - The Shuffle EP (incl. Archie Hamilton Remix)
Frequently known as hot-shoed dance style, always essential with a pack of cards, now a brand new technoid roller from do-no-wrong New Yorker Jean Pierre. Ladies and gentlemen we give you ‘The Shuffle.’
Last spotted on the Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin’ Headz imprint in November 2017, Jean Pierre once again tag teams with Jesse Calosso and the label bosses themselves for the lead track. An outstanding thumper laced with intoxicating hypnosis, ‘The Shuffle’ is a tightly-coiled conga-coded without laced with subtle momentum and tightly weaved funk. Ideal for those deep long heads-down blends it comes complete with a deep cosmic twist from London man-of-the-moment Archie Hamilton.
There’s more… As we shuffle and slide into the four-track EP we hit two more stone cold originals. Both loopy, gritty techno pieces designed solely for dancefloors; ‘Low Ride’ takes the fast lane with warped textured humanised elements and a beat that kicks like a disco mule while ‘Thought Process’ ups the tempo for a final white knuckle hoorah.
Unrelenting four-to-da-floor fun strictly for the latest of hours, it’s another head cutting, hip strutting dark design from one of the most on-point labels in house and techno right now. Get those hot shoes out, you’re gonna need them…
