Bxentric - Patch Valley
East London-based Bxentric ends the year with a second release ‘Patch Valley’ on his label Nanda Records. Continuing on from his Chrome EP released earlier this year, Patch Valley is a moody analogue landscape, which builds, twists and surprises with sparse synth stabs, while maintaining a warm static undercurrent.
The release comes with two carefully chosen remixes. First up is Berlin-based Hivern Discs artist Herzel who provides a densely percussive but atmospheric reshaped version of the single. Brooklyn-based, WT Records founder, Willie Burns, offers a dramatic driving offbeat cut of the track.
For the video, Kenaim creates a monochromatic restless panorama, which reflects the twisting atmospheric static of Patch Valley’s analogue landscape and builds on Bxentric’s sonic narrative.
Early support from Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier, Bicep, Barnt & Job Jobse amongst others, as well as radio play on Maceo Plex’s Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1, and Australia’s Triple J (Friday Night Shuffle).
