Brazilian label OLGA is very specific in the music it puts out: it is all stuff designed to be heard in D-Edge, its parent club and one with futuristic lines and a killer sound system. Next up on the small but well formed label is A.84, an artist known to his mother as Torquato.
Torquato also releases under another alias, Nomumbah on Yoruba Records, as well as others, so is an accomplished artist. First up here he offers us 4, a deep, dubby, rolling number that has spine tingling atmospheres and mysterious pads off in the distance. Its a great way to get people locked to a groove, and then comes 7 featuring D Edge boss man Renato Rather. This one is just as cerebral and absorbing, but is a bit darker and more direct. The sound design is excellent and over all this EP is a truly classy affair.
